This year First Chief of Defence staff, General Bipin Rawat passed away in a tragic helicopter crash. His demise will remain a black scar in the history of Armed forces, as he was the first CDS of this country. His phenomenal journey in defence will continue to motivate the youngsters. As he epitomised the stellar character of a military leader for whom nation always came first.
Well his untimely demise was mournful for the whole nation, so the Green Malwa city Indore, decided to dedicate this Republic Day to his achievements. With the help of Sahodaya group, CBSE, Nagar Nigam and Modern group, an artistic potrait was created with the help of eco-bricks. Around 75 school students volunteered for the project and as many as 50,000 eco-bricks were used. These bricks were collected from across the city. In general, 50,000 houses participated in this activity. The potrait was installed in the city, near LIG square, to devote commoners sense of gratitude towards the National Hero.
As far as the loss is concerned, no one will ever be able to fill that void, but his life will remain a lesson to many. As the late CDS said and we quote. ” We seek neither applause nor gratitude because we firmly believe in the eternal wisdom of the Urdu couplet: “खामोशी से बनाते रहो पहचान अपनी, हवाएं खुद तुम्हारा तराना गुनगुनाएंगी”
Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi’s sole motive is to ignite young minds and revive that sense of nation love amongst all. Naman to the volunteers of the Indore prant who dedicated this Republic Day to our late CDS. Eco-bricks being handy fit into their requirement and we wish to have many such portraits in evey city of this country!
